I am not a serious gardener. I like a nice garden without much effort. When we bought the house it had a reasonably nice garden but I soon dealt with that and it grew overgrown. Recently I have made more effort and put in a couple of ponds and am trying to find plants that really work for me.

We have an archway in the garden and have been growing clematis up either side of it but this is the first year that they have grown at the same height. In previous years one reached the top whilst the other still had several feet to grow. The colours are superb as you can see. Sorry a couple of the pictures are blurred.
